Who it is for / Electricians
An AI receptionist for electricians.
Mid-rewire, up a ladder or with the power off at the board, you cannot pick up. While You Work answers the calls you miss in your business name, gets the fault, the address and how urgent it is, flags anything dangerous, and emails you the job a minute later. Urgent calls are texted to you straight away.

What callers hear
An example call, word for word
The receptionist asks one thing at a time, checks the number back and never makes up a price. The details reach you by email a minute after the call, and by text straight away when it is urgent, on Pro and Business.
Emailed to you a minute later
TODAY. Sam, 07700 900574, BS7 Bishopston. Kitchen sockets off, breaker keeps tripping, no sparks or burning smell.
Receptionist: Hi, you’re through to Kev Evans Electrical. Kev’s out on a job, so I’m the automated assistant taking the details for a call back. Calls are recorded so nothing gets missed. What’s your name?
Caller: It’s Sam. Half the sockets in my kitchen have gone off and the switch in the fuse box won’t stay up.
Receptionist: Thanks, Sam. Sorry to hear that. Is there any sparking or burning smell anywhere?
Caller: No, nothing like that. It just keeps tripping.
Receptionist: Thank you. I’ll let Kev know you would like someone today. What’s your postcode?
Caller: BS7, in Bishopston.
Receptionist: And what’s the best number for Kev to ring you on?
Caller: 07700 900 574.
Receptionist: So that’s 07700 900 574. Is that right?
Caller: Yes.
Receptionist: Thanks, Sam. Kev will ring you back as soon as he can, and I’m sending you a text now to confirm.

Questions
Questions from electricians
What counts as an emergency for an electrician?
Sparks, burning smells and anything the caller says cannot wait are flagged as urgent and, on Pro and Business, texted to you straight away. Everything else is marked by how soon the caller wants it done.
Can it tell callers I am NICEIC or NAPIT registered?
Yes. Put your scheme membership, the areas you cover and anything else callers should know in the set-up form and it is used on every call.
Can it take quote requests for rewires, EV chargers or consumer units?
Yes. It takes the job in the caller’s words, the address and when they want it done, and says you will ring back to quote. It never makes up a price.
What about callers outside my area?
You tell us the area you cover. Callers outside it are told so on the call, and you still get the details in case you want to ring them.
Do I keep my own number?
Yes. You switch on divert-on-no-answer from your mobile with one code, so calls you do not pick up within 20 seconds come through. Customers ring the number they always have.
How much does it cost?
Starter is £39, Pro £69 and Business £129 a month + VAT, for 50, 150 or 400 calls a month. The first 50 UK businesses get Pro for £49 a month + VAT for their first 12 months. There is no contract, and if you cancel within 14 days of your line going live you get a full refund.
